- Receipt images you choose to scan
- Text extracted from receipts

- Manually added purchase information
2. How We Use Information
We use this information to:
- Extract receipt data
- Display your purchase history
- Generate spending insights
- Organize purchases by category
- Allow export of expense data
- Improve app functionality
3. AI Processing
When you scan a receipt with AI, the receipt image and extracted OCR text may be sent to our secure backend server for processing.
Our backend may use OpenAI services to analyze receipt data and return structured results, such as merchant name, total amount, currency, and category.
Do not scan receipts containing information you do not want processed by AI services.
4. Data Storage
Purchase history and receipt data may be stored locally on your device.
Exported files are created only when you choose to export your data.
5. Third-Party Services
Scan Prices may use third-party services, including:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit for in-app purchases and subscriptions
- OpenAI for AI receipt analysis
- Render or another hosting provider for backend processing
These services may process data according to their own privacy policies.
6. Payments
Payments and subscriptions are handled by Apple. We do not collect or store your payment card information.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your receipt data with advertisers.
Data is only processed as needed to provide app functionality.
8. Data Export
If you export your purchase data, you are responsible for how the exported file is stored, shared, or used.
9. Children’s Privacy
Scan Prices is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect data during processing. However, no system is completely secure.
11. Your Choices
You can delete purchases or receipts inside the app where supported.
You can also delete the app to remove locally stored data from your device.
